How can i get leaking glowstick stains out of my white shirt? first time out and a roody glowstick leaked in my pocket !! washed it 2 times and tried vanish stain remover but its going nowhere !

Rogan replied: "Buy better glowsticks."

Becky replied: "yuck... I just got the oxyclean stain remover it has 2 satin fighters and foams when it hits the stain then let it soak with that for like 30 mins then in a load of water with regular oxyclean or borax and it should get it or maybe just fade it a bit"

catastrophic replied: "Try swarfega. This is good at getting all sorts of stains out. Before you put the garment in the wash, rub a liberal amount into the stain, then put in the garment in the washer as normal."

Is it dangerous if I dropped a glowstick down the ac vent in my car? it's a 2004 scion xa, if that matters. being an idiot, i dropped a plastic glowstick (containing liquid) down the ac/heating vent by the dash, and i can't see where it went. is my car even safe to drive? is there any danger of the plastic melting and the liquid catching on fire? also, how do i get it out?

Biff replied: "It will not melt or do anything harmful at all. To get it out, remove the plastic grille and use some tongs or something to grab it."

UCANTCME replied: "It will just run out in about 2 to 4 hours and everything will be okay and as stated above remove the vent and you can retrieve it."

How can I get my glowstick to work? I've already tried to snap it, but it doesnt do anything, and I've shaken the stupid glowstick untill I nearly wore myself out. Are there any other ways to get it to work, or should I throw it out? Yeah. I should have thrown it out. it exploded all over my hands. lol.

Dr Dave P replied: "Throw it out. Once the chemicals are spent - they are spent - you will need to buy a new one."

steve_geo1 replied: "Throw it out. It doesn't work. It never worked. Get a new one from another company."

Rupert H replied: "Umm, you probably weren't born with one... you might want to stop trying... LOL jk. They wear out. Throw it out and get a new one."

shewolf020 replied: "some rework if you freeze them then resnap them but i dont know if yours ever worked to start with!!"

how do u remove the stuff inside of a glowstick off a painted wall? if u know please tell me or my best friend willl have to pay like 100 dollars. well anyway the stuff inside a glowstick got all over her wall and its dry and it is stained. how do u get rid of it??

Molly P replied: "just a guess- Fantastik Heavy Duty cleaner...I use it to remove just about any stain from carpet, walls, and counters (there was a red stain that could not be removed when I moved in to my house and the fantastic got it out no problem). I would test it first--I don't think it could hurt anything. I have used it on my walls before that I just painted a month ago. Spray it on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes then wipe away. Otherwise, if you know the color of paint, sand it down or "patch" it and paint over it. As I said--just a suggestion."

alicej84 replied: "get mr clean magic eraser and go scrub scrub scrub scrub"

What was she doing with the glowstick? At a show last night, I saw a girl bite the tip off of a glowstick, pour a little onto her finger, and rub it on her boyfriend's shirt and neck. What the hell was she doing with it? So, if you rub the stuff inside a glowstick onto your skin, it will make you glow too? Haha sweet! What if you put it in your hair?

VANESSA MiCHELE♄ replied: "being a dumbas.s"

jmd72inva replied: "making him glow...AND being a dumba$$"

shire_maid replied: "I haven't a clue, but I'll bet she's not going to any kind of higher education institution!"

shorty081101 replied: "Trying to make him glow."

Black Mariah replied: "She was making HIM glow too!! My sister and I do this all the time. We'll splatter each other with the glowing stuff inside and we'll go play outside at night!"

sigmarho replied: "She was taking out the glowing stuff inside and putting on her boyfriend. Once my friends and I were playing with glowsticks and they broke open and we were all glowing for a while. We threw the broken ones away and that girl should have done the same. sometimes it can stain."

Maggie M replied: "Well, I don't know wtf she was doing with the glowstick, but the other day I got a broken glowstick accidentally, and it did make my skin glow."

Christine replied: "i was playing with a glow stick on halloween and i broke so i was glowing as i was trick or treating"

Are the insides of those fluorescent glowstick bracelets harmful to kids? Suppose one broke, and the children realized if they got it on their fingers their hands glow in the dark. Further suppose that in a matter of seconds they and the back of their mother's truck looked like an underground party. Hypothetically speaking, of course. Is it harmful? It's not in their eyes or mouths, as evidenced by the lack of light in said cavities. I did have to pull (I mean "she") a glass sliver out of one of their palms. There's one mystery solved.

Skye replied: "There is actually small shards of glass inside them. That is what you hear cracking when you bend them."

Victory replied: "It isn't that toxic unless you get it in your mouth even then it will probably only cause diarrhea and vomiting,Many ravers will actually split them open and pore them on their skin so that they can glow. "

MINI ME LOL (amberw) replied: "Dangers Glow sticks contain hydrogen peroxide, and phenol is produced as a by-product. Therefore, it is advisable to keep the mixture away from skin, and to prevent accidental ingestion, if the glow stick case splits or breaks. If spilled on skin, the chemicals could cause slight skin irritation, and swelling or, in extreme circumstances, cause vomiting and nausea. However, many ravers will cut or break open a glow stick and apply the glowing solution directly to bare skin in order to make their bodies glow. It has been said that glow stick chemicals cause cancer,[8] although no research has suggested that they might. Also it is wise to avoid all contact with thin membranes such as the eye or nasal area. Despite reports to the contrary, it is not safe to smoke or ingest glowing phenol, and it will not produce any drug-like effects. The fluid contained in glow sticks can also dissolve some types of plastic. Wash with soap and water if liquid comes in contact with the skin. Flush eyes immediately with cool water if liquid comes in contact with the eyes. Some of the chemicals in glow sticks are flammable."

blondcutie_4_life replied: "its not harmful as long as not swallowed...........or in eyes(although ive gotten it in my eye before and it didnt do any damage besides STINGING...and a frind of mine had a retainer that held a type you put in your mouth and she washed it out of her mouth when she bit it on accident..........it doesnt do any dammage...not even to clothes"

livn4themin replied: "Try mr. clean magic eraser"

Jasmine replied: "I'd say just paint white over it. good luck!!!"

jazzy replied: "lol. ohh i had dat problem long agoo. well u should try scrubbing it not to hard with a wet towel. :) or within time it will fade away easily.."

What happens if you eat the glowstick chemicals? I ate some, and I am feeling really sick. what are they made of and what should i do? are they really toxic?

gibblestick replied: "go see a doctor as soon as possible the chemicals can be (depends which ones have been used) very toxic. If possible take an un-used stick in its wrapper/box"

JAMES A N replied: "The chemicals in glowsticks are hydrogen peroxide and phenol. While not approved for human consumption, the combination will not be fatal. It is advised to call poison control if it becomes unbearable."

littlemisspotatoe replied: "When I was 4 I wanted to try that and see if I glowed, but I didn't becuse I was afriad of getting sick. If you are feeling sick, you might want to go to the doctor or if its severe go to the ER. Don't worry about money if that's a problem, they can't refuse you service. Feel better."

neoplop replied: "Darwin's natural selection at work."

bill replied: "The chemicals inside of glowsticks are non-toxic, says so on the package."

maryjane_1234 replied: "I can only imagine when you eat it- but when you break open a glowstick it burns like hell- call poison control"

Can a normal green glowstick be used as a fishing light? I want to see if there's a cheaper alternative to buying a fish attraction light?

The QUEEN B I T C H replied: "No. A glowstick won't give off enough light to attract any bugs that in turn will attract the fish. You're better off using a 12-volt car battery and a headlamp. Hang the light over the side of a dock just above the surface of the water."

Unknown Truth replied: "No, not really, something you might consider trying is a candle in a covered globe. Not really sure what it's called, but we call it a wind light. All you need is a tea candle, and it fits inside it. The flame attracts bugs, and that gets the fish to come closer. So, it's an alternative you might try until you can buy a real light."

JustAsking replied: "You can if you like to go for the idea and good luck too."

justintodd1979 replied: "hey there, yes you can use a glow stick. drop it off the side of your boat or either use it as a bobber. i like using the glowstick as a bobber especially when night fishing for catfish. they work really well. the big thing with the fishing light that the glow stick can not produce is that the bright light from the fishing light attracts bugs which will make the smaller fish start nailing the top of the water going after the bugs and fishing top water is excellent. but the glow stick works pretty well. the local walmarts usually sells the 12 inch glowstick in the fishing and camping section. i hope this helps you out a bit good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience"

Joe American usn ret. replied: "no - like most said it isn't bright enough.... what kind of fish are you going after? I've never used a light and I always do ok..."
